We found a fox terrier near Johnson and Knickerbocker Sunday morning  (7/13/2008).  The dog appears to be
around 7 years old, wearing a black  nylon collar with no tags.  It's in good condition, healthy and perky.
The  dog is a female, and has a large brown spot over her right eye, and a small brown spot over her left
eye. I'm attaching a photo - she doesn't stand still very well, so it took many  tries. If her owner
isn't found, we can hold her for a little while if she can be  adopted.  We can't keep her permanently, 
unfortunately.  Our husky doesn't  particularly like fox terriers, except perhaps as a snack.
Please let us know if you need any more information to get this cute dog  back to a home.

Found at the Albertsons on College Hills: two adorable, friendly dogs. One is a small border collie (black/white), the other appears to be
a Terrier/Schnauzer mix (mostly white/some black markings). No tags. Both may be male. Dogs were found in the parking lot around noon today.
Currently, the dogs are in a cart in front of the store. Manager Derek Vernon may take them home at the end of the day if owner does not claim them. If

Found a Dachshund mix near Lake Nasworthy.  Real sweet and obeys pretty
well.  Looks pretty well taken care of. Dog did not have tags and is NOT

This sweet dog was found out at the lake about 3 weeks ago by a few of my friends. I was suckered into taking care of him for the past 2 days but now it is time for me to say my good byes! They named him Shiner (imagine that). He was, still kind of is, terribly skinny. I don't have room for a 3rd dog and I either need to find his owner or find him a new owner. His info is:
Dog
Lab Mix (about the size and color of a yellow lab, head more of a retriever)
Male, neutered
55 lbs, but skinny, should probably be closer to 70
Yellow/blonde
1 and half years old according to the vet
Hazel eyes
He had a turquoise collar on, but no tags. He appears to be very healthy (other
than being under weight) and is extremely friendly. Slightly food aggressive, but I
would be too if I was as hungry as he was/is. Very friendly with my 2 dogs, too...
loves playing with them.

Please forward this email to anyone whom you think might be interested in him. He really deserves a good home and I really don't want to have to take him to the
pound.

We found a large chocolate lab today about 2 miles south of Veribest. Very nice dog and seems to be well taken care of. No tags or collar

An adult female purebred German shepherd appeared at the Ideal Food Store in Miles around 1.30 pm 
Sunday, April 6.  She is gorgeous and well-cared for.  She was not hungry or thirsty. No tags or collar.
Tan with a black saddle.

She will not allow anyone close to her.  We were able to get within 3 feet of her 
before she barked and warned us off.  As the day went on, she got more and more
confused and bewildered and got even more skittish.

If she cannot be caught in a reasonable time, the City of Miles (who has no trained or certified Animal
Control) will have to call in a County Deputy to euthanize her. 

I'm calling the Animal Shelter Monday morning, and Runnels County Sheriff's Dept. has been notified

These two dogs are thought to be Black Mouth Cur, they have been in the area for about 2-3 weeks.  I finally got them tame enough to stay at the house and eat.  I am
certain that they have an owner out there looking for them.  They have no tags but one of them has a notched left ear that must me some kind of marking for the owner.
