Adoption
Information
The Humane Society places animals from the City Shelter into temporary,
loving homes to save them from almost certain euthanasia. All of our
companion animals that are available for adoption are in temporary
foster care. Please call or email us to set up an appointment to visit
with one today. Must be at least 21 years of age to adopt from the
Humane Society. Click here to view all Humane

Humane Society Rescue Pet adoption fees:
Dogs - $80 / Cats - $55
All HSTGC adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations
and city tag, and are microchipped.
Mobile Adoptions
Mobile adoptions are held to find good homes
for the animals in our foster program. Because they have been living
as a pet in a foster care home, we know more about their temperaments
and personalities & have offered basic obedience and housebreaking.
This experience is helpful to new owners.
Mobile adoption pets have already been spayed
/ neutered, are up to date on rabies vaccine, and have their city
tag. They are ready to go home the day you adopt them! Check our Calendar
link for the location and date of our next Humane Society Mobile Adoption.
Become a Foster Parent
To
become a foster parent, a temporary sponsor takes a rescued animal
into their home, providing food, water, and love. The Humane Society
supply's emergency medical care, and we promote the animal for adoption
on our website. We do all of the legwork for providing the animal
placement, asking only that the foster family bring their animal to
the shelter for introduction to prospective adoptive families and
to various Humane Society events.

Second Chance Adoptions
Humane Society urges pet owners to first contact
us concerning their unwanted pets, rather than relinquish them directly
to the City Animal Shelter, where they will most likely be euthanized.
New homes are screened by us to find a perfect match while the owner
continues to care for the animal. This program is new, and all animals
accepted into the program must be spayed or neutered and current on
rabies vaccine. You
can help this effort by letting people know they need not destroy
their pets, they deserve a second chance.

Chance Contract.
