Animal Abuse & Neglect
If
you witness animal abuse or neglect, please contact the San Angelo
city animal control immediately at (325) 657-4224. In most areas,
they have the jurisdiction and capability to investigate and resolve
these situations. They rely on concerned citizens to be their eyes
and ears in the community and to report animal suffering. You can
choose to remain anonymous. If
there is not a shelter or animal control agency in your community,
please report the incident to your local sheriff. The Humane Society
of Tom Green County does not have animal control capabilities.

Prayer for the Animals
"Hear our humble prayer, O God,
for our friends the animals, especially for animals who are
suffering; for animals who are overworked, underfed and cruelly
treated; for all wistful creatures in captivity that beat
their wings against bars; for any that are hunted or lost
or deserted or frightened or hungry; for all that must be
put to death. We entreate for them all Thy mercy and pity,
and for those who deal with them we ask a heart of compassion
and gentle hands and kindly words. Make us, ourselves, to
be true friends to animals, and so to share the blessings
of the Merciful."
